Just saw Emmanual lewis's myspace page. He's claiming he's 22...what a little liar. (no pun intended) He was on the TV Webster in 1983 which was 24 years ago. That means he starred in his own TV show, 2 years before we was born. Wow...thats talent! Why do they feel the need to lie these celebs?

This was because of some congenital disease that he had since birth,...
When your a celebrity your marketing audience is always a younger group who stays up watches tv goes out to the movies etc etc,........He is trying to live on his past laurels there are no parts out there for older little leading men....
His career is done and thats a hard thing to aceppt
The industry gets more money and livelihood from an individual if the promote them as younger
As the younger group as to idealize themselves relating to that person

They lie because in the entertainment world there is a different age standard. One can be considered old and washed up as early as their thirties! The older an actor/ actress/ model gets the less likely they are to be considered for jobs. All of a sudden they are too "old" and jobs/ roles for older actors/ actresses are harder to come by. They want to make themselves employable for as long as possible and many times this means surgery and lying about their age.
